ABOUT
Rhiannon Curtin is a dedicated and experienced educator with a heartwarming tale to share. With a background deeply rooted in education, Rhiannon's journey from being a teacher specialising in Rudolf Steiner education, to a Developmental Orientation and Mobility Specialist (working with children who have visual impairments), led her to do something she always dreamed of doing - writing a book!
Her path to becoming a children's book author was paved with creativity and love. The idea for her captivating children's book took root during a serene moment as she sat in one of her favourite places - a haven of inspiration - the bath. It was right there, beside the place where her daughter Aoife came into the world 6 months prior, that the story began to unfold.
Rhiannon's connection to her daughter and her own appreciation for unique names led her to create a charming narrative that not only rhymes but also resonates with the hearts and minds of young readers.
Beyond her writing journey, Rhiannon Curtin collaborates across borders, exemplifying the power of artistic unity. Partnering with an illustrator based in Naples, Italy, Rhiannon's vision for her book's illustrations came to life through delicate watercolour strokes, perfectly capturing the essence of her storytelling.
She hopes people people all over the world will enjoy this book, and to always remember that there is nothing better to be, than unique, unusual you!
